- Don't pour shampoo onto your head! Pour it into your hands, and then work it through your hair.
- Massage dandruff shampoos into your scalp and leave the suds on for a few minutes before rinsing.
- Before conditioning, squeeze excess water from your hair (please be gentle) - strands of hair that are soaking wet do not absorb conditioner very well.
- Dry your hair gently, by blotting and squeezing, not wringing or rubbing. Never brush wet hair. Instead, use a wide-tooth comb
- When using conditioner, comb through with a wide-tooth comb. This will distribute conditioner evenly through hair and smooth out any tangles.
- Rinse conditioner with cool water to seal the cuticle of your hair and help control "frizzies" and add shine.
- Always use leave-in conditioner before you go swimming, because this helps to protect your hair from chlorine and sun exposure. This is especially important if you have color treated hair.
- Wet hair should not be rubbed since the hair is very sensitive.
- Combing is less detrimental than brushing.
